Thomas V. Girardi, Esq.

Mr. Girardi is a partner with the Los Angeles firm Girardi & Keese, where he practices in the areas of professional liability, toxic torts, business litigation and entertainment law litigation. Noteworthy results include $1.7 billion against El Paso Natural Gas, $330 million against PG&E ("Erin Brokavich" case), $750 million jury verdict against Lockheed and $45 million jury verdict in the Karlsson vs. Ford case. Robert C. Baker, Esq.

Jason Bloom, MA (Moderator)

Mr. Bloom is a senior trial consultant at Courtroom Sciences, Inc. in Irving, TX. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. As a trial consultant, Mr. Bloom specializes in assisting attorneys with case presentations, trial strategy, and jury selection. He has conducted jury research in venues nationwide on a variety of civil matters, using mock trials and focus groups. Additionally, he has consulted with many Fortune 500 and high profile clients as they prepare for trial. Karen Fleming-Ginn, PhD

Dr. Fleming-Ginn has consulted on more than 200 civil and criminal cases over the past 13 years. She specializes in the areas of employment litigation, catastrophic injury / wrongful death, commercial litigation and death penalty trials. Noteworthy trials include: People v. Timothy McVeigh (for the prosecution) and People v. Knoller and Noel (for Robert Noel). Wendy Saxon, PhD, CTS

Dr. Saxon is a licensed psychotherapist and a certified trauma specialist who has assisted in more than 800 civil and criminal trials. She has a PhD in clinical psychology, an MS in clinical/community psychology, and a BA in psychology & French. She was the jury consultant on Rodney King's civil case, resulting in a verdict of $3.8 million. Her practice focuses almost exclusively on jury selection, one of her passions and strong specialties. For over 27 years she has watched this important aspect of trial work evolve from lengthy oral voir dires, to the use of case-specific juror questionnaires and emerging psychodrama techniques as taught at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College. Tara Trask

Ms. Trask is the President and founder of SLI Consulting, Inc. (Strategic Litigation Insights), a full-service trial consulting practice. In over 10 years, she has debriefed thousands of jurors, mock and actual and has been involved in over 100 jury trials across the country, including Texas Beef Group. v. Winfrey (for Oprah Winfrey) and Food Lion v. ABC (for ABC). Her practice includes complex litigation, intellectual property, contract disputes, oil and gas, product liability, medical and legal malpractice, employment, and securities.
